About Humble Beginnings
At Humble Beginnings, we focus on harnessing the talents of your little ones.
Our facility is a NYS Licensed & Insured GFDC Provider. The objective of Humble Beginnings Childcare is to operate with the needs of our young people at the forefront. We are a full-service home-based childcare program accepting children between ages 6 weeks and 12 years old. We offer an array of childcare services which include but are not limited to full day, half-day, drop-in, and evening care. We also offer before and after school care.
At Humble Beginnings, we strive in collaboration with parents and caregivers to be intentional in our endeavor to build a strong foundation for success of the children. We will use every moment as a teaching moment while providing safe and supportive surroundings for your little ones. At Humble Beginnings Childcare, we are dedicated to cultivating young minds, one little angel at a time.
Richelle Ash
Owner and Director
Richelle is a NYS Licensed Childcare Provider. As a former finance professional, holding both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an Executive Master of Public Administration, Richelle decided to follow her dream of becoming a childcare professional. Although she has over 20 years of childcare experience, Richelle continues to expand her knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods by pursuing formal Early Childhood Education coursework and credentials.
The first years of a child's life creates the foundation for their emotional well-being, health, cognitive, and physical growth. Providing early quality care and education is vital for empowering children to learn and develop. While my duties are many, my primary responsibilities will be to organize activities designed to help children learn about their world and develop their own interests, create schedules to ensure that children have adequate physical activity, rest, nourishment, and intellectual stimulation. Humble Beginnings will evaluate children’s performance to confirm they are on the right learning track, remain in constant communication with parents while updating them on their child’s progress; observe children’s interactions and promote the spirit of harmony and ensure adherence with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the regulatory standards and expectations.

Michael Ash
Co-Director
Michael Ash is a New York State Department of Education Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) since September 1, 2004. He has extensive experience working with children as they adjust to different setting and environments. He is well versed in Play Therapy and help parents and guardians who seek professional insight, especially for tender subjects or developmentally appropriate issues of growing up. He has successfully addressed topics like abuse, neglect, and trauma by focusing on positive growth and strengths. He focuses on working towards an optimistic future, developing positive coping methods, as well as boosting self-esteem, self-confidence, and other positive states and traits in children.

We endeavor to humbly nurture God’s gift to you, which is a blessing to us. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. In the words of Nelson Mandela, “Children are our greatest treasure. They are our future.” We concentrate on ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed. We are excited to have an opportunity to partner with you as we shape, mold, guide, and prepare the next generation to maximize their potential.
